A 5-day, 4-night safari in Tanzania is a great way to experience some of the country’s most iconic wildlife and landscapes. Here’s an example itinerary for your trip
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay.
Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the town or relax before starting your safari the next day.
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tarangire National Park (about 2-3 hours from Arusha). Known for its large elephant population and iconic baobab trees.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Tarangire, where you’ll spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and an abundance of birdlife.
Overnight at a lodge or tented camp inside or near the park.
Morning game drive in Tarangire National Park.
Drive to Ngorongoro Crater (about 3-4 hours).
The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a stunning variety of wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, buffalo, and lions.
Check into your lodge or tented camp on the crater rim for the night.

After the game drive, return to your lodge or tented camp for an overnight stay.
Drive to Serengeti National Park (about 4-5 hours).
Serengeti is one of the most famous safari destinations, known for its massive wildebeest migration and a high concentration of predators.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Serengeti to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and a variety of other animals.
Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Morning game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Depending on your flight time, you may transfer to Seronera Airstrip for a flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international departure.
